Cultivating the Future

With aspirations to become a leading agribusiness player by 2030, URBAN ASIA AGRO is ready for the next phase of growth. To achieve this goal, our focus is now on its two core segments – Farming and Agrofood. Our agribusiness arm, URBAN ASIA AGRO owns and manages farming in Malaysia, focusing on the state of Pahang, and is involved in vegetables cultivation, livestock and trading & services.

Real farm grown ginger in every Jus Djamoe

At Urban Asia Agro, our commitment is to improve farm economics among the farmers who supply us. To this end, we aim to cultivate the development of food systems that protect, renew and restore the environment, as well as improve the livelihoods of local farmers. Through our UrbanTani programmes, we help farmers transition towards more sustainable farming practices, including regenerative agriculture. Ultimately, the farmers are able to benefit from better crop yields and productivity, leading to more sustainable income, while also providing Urban Asia Agro with a secure supply of responsibly sourced high-quality raw ingredients.

TANI CHILLI CLUB

We encourage the practice of live mulching amongst our Tani Chili Club farmers, utilising peanut and Bambara nuts to replace plastic mulching for weed control.

TOMATO CLUB

MARDI’s groundbreaking research, combined with the expertise of local tomato farmers, has yielded a revolutionary new tomato variety, perfect for thriving in tropical lowlands.

HALIA CLUB

At our farm in Pahang, we champion intercropping ginger with complementary plants. This regenerative practice empowers our ginger farmers to diversify their income streams and fosters a richer, more biodiverse environment.
